T O P I C R E V I E WAnastasiyaEnchantedDo you think its possible to use law of attraction to manifest a desire or outcome that is not shown in your birth chart? If 75% of the events in our life are destined (according to Vedic astrology) then does the LOA only work on the other 25%? Can LOA really give you anything you want, or is this anything within the boundaries that is shown in your birth chart. Would like peoples opinions on this. fairaquaI think a lot of it is based on the "luck" in your chart. Hmm..11th house maybe? Be careful with LOAFrom what I understand it doesn't come without a price.I have had it work with me before and haven't noticed a price, but things I have attracted haven't been large things. Ie: during the week I had a small soil that stained on my carpet (pepto I think), all while I was cleaning I kept thinking how nice it would be to have a hand held stream cleaner. That weekend my aunt gave me one out of the blue. goatcatDude I am soooooo thankful for this post right nowwww------------------ http://virgingoat.tumblr.com http://instagram.com/imustbeacatgoatcatWhat do you mean, "it doesn't come without a price"?------------------ http://virgingoat.tumblr.com http://instagram.com/imustbeacatgoatcatI feel that the law of attraction is harder for me because of my placements. I have a grand water trine in my most personal planets: moon, venus, mars.I'm fire void.I tend to dwell on the negative far too long.------------------ http://virgingoat.tumblr.com http://instagram.com/imustbeacatIV XXIVI don't think your birth chart is an actual set-in-stone book of your life. I think it shows certain strengths, weaknesses, and potentials that you may have. There are many things that are spot-on in many people's natal charts, and many things that are irrelevant. I believe in the law of attraction to a degree; I believe that if you want something bad enough, you will do whatever it takes to get it. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you may not get something and I believe that's the universe. I believe you get what you get for whichever reasons; you get what you need when you need it, not what you want when you want it. So I belief in basically a dichotomy; the law of attraction yet "fate" and the universe providing you with what's best for you. You could have a placement that would indicate great success in your professional life, but if you don't go on interviews or put in the hard work, you more than likely won't achieve it. Law of attraction won't do that for you either.. It's more hard work than luck, but luck plays a small part. Religion and fate and destiny are all touchy subjects, but overall, I think that we are the masters of our fate and our lives, and essentially, we pave the way for ourselves. The stars tell us our potential, not our futures. Can LOA really give you anything you want, or is this anything within the boundaries that is shown in your birth chart. Would like peoples opinions on this. In my experience, the "Law of attraction" doesn't give you anything that you want, but gives you everything that you feel; if you feel a certain way chronically, you will get the resultant "crux" of whatever it is that you were feeling about. The "Law of Attraction" does not work outside astrology, but Astrology is just one element of the Law of attraction and so, the study of your personal impulses and emotional make-up can make it easier for you to tell why you are asking/drawn to certain things and not others(contrary to popular belief, not everyone wants to be rich or own a lot of BMW's)Nothing is "pre destined", unless your feelings stay constant, then indeed a psychic would be able to tell your life from beginning to end-without error. The reason that psychics sometimes get it "wrong" or "miss the mark" is because we are constantly evolving, constantly changing and therefore choose newer stuff and become much more advanced in knowing who we are. When looking at the "Law of attraction", I've found it relates better to the positions of my Draconian placements(then my natal).Much of what I desire and want goes hand-in hand with my personal planet placements in my Draconic chart.Lovely thread BTW. fairaquathere is a spiritual forum I'm on that has a law of attraction forum. I read one lady was talking about always wanting a house in a certain area or that had certain features and she said that were they her and her husband we're in life they never get it. Then she heard about law of attractionand started doing whatever she did she finally got the house. But in order to get the house Her husband endured some tragic accident that left him crippled but they got money from the accident and that's how they bought the house.that's not exactly how it happened but that's just the gist of the story.FaithHi goatcat! Haven't seen you in ages. *waves*There have been a few things I have wished for, and they came true. But I think the natal chart reflects both the nature of the wish and the manifestation. For example, I once had an epiphany where I realized that I needed to have cute children. Turns out, many years after I HAD my cute kids (pardon the boasting but really, they're so cute) I got into real astrology and chart reading, and here I have 5H Venus. And so on... VenusDiSiriusWhat's law of attraction? FaithSomething that nutty, over-optimistic Americans talk about. It's The Secret.KarmicMoonAccording to Abraham/Esther Hicks, the major proponents of LOA, astrology is irrelevant (that is not what I believe). I have been learning about LOA for about a year. I have had luck manifesting some things. Where I usually get blocked is when there are other people involved. Still, I have had pretty clear guidance from spirit that I can have what I want (within reason) through LOA. It makes me wonder though, when other people and their free will is involved, how does that work???IDK, I believe the natal chart is a map of what lessons we want to learn in this life. There is an element of fate, but I suppose we 'draw' these 'fated' lessons to us based on when we are ready, through our vibration. I would think some aspects of our chart could be over come. For example, if you want to experience being poor but after 30 years of being poor, you evolve enough spiritual to be success at LOA, you could possible change that. But let's face it, there are things that just aren't going to happen no matter how much you want it. I'm never going to be a rock star, no matter how much I visualize it! Some psychics use 'timelines', meaning you have certain options planned out before you. You can choose options A, B, C or D. Thats where your free will comes in. Chances are, you're not getting F. I believe that is in our chart and can't be overcome.VenusDiSiriusFaith, How about a 1 or 2 lines instead of 1.5h film? quote:KarmicMoon:Where I usually get blocked is when there are other people involved. If you focus on it enough!------------------ http://virgingoat.tumblr.com http://instagram.com/imustbeacatastriI believe your horoscope and the planetary influences that continue to flow from the birth chart throughout your life are already a manifestation of the LOA based upon the feelings, beliefs, desires and so on you have put out in your past life(s). For a while I believed LOA had a stronger effect on me than planetary influences because I could see my thoughts and feelings quickly manifesting, whereas what I was reading on astro.com, nothing much good came out of it, even positive transits, but now I realize I didn't know enough about astrology. So now, I believe that in theory you can get everything what you want with LOA if A. you know how to use it and B. you do a lot of hard work on your subconscious mind. I see the birth chart as a mapping of your subconscious mind and changing that in reality is just difficult, especially when you're in the midst of some heavy negative influences. But what's really great about astrology is that it shows these energies are already 'set in stone' for this life and you can take a peek in the future to see when things will get better. This makes me also believe that before we incarnate, we will have a pretty good idea about how our life will unfold because the energies are already manifested and a timeline's been put through it, so that it seems like things are just happening to us by coincidence which they aren't. Also, if you get into contact with the teachings of the lOA and at some point decide to do meditation and so on and put the LOA into practice, why is that? Probably because you had some, for ex. Neptunian transit which made you drawn to this in the first place and then add some other transit and you attract luck and the will to make things happen..so all in all, I think our lives are pretty much predetermined, but at the same time it is our own manifestation from energies we put out before birth. Just not sure, how much you can change in this current life. But it would always be good to practice LOA (consciously to get more of what you want) to create a better chart for your future life .I do believe that the planetary (sp?) influences are the main or larger energies that shape our life events and within those energies you can try to get the best out of that by using LOA.Somna7HI'm always stay behind when it comes to Luck.
